Hi, I am Lea Rieck and I was born in 1986 in Munich. Besides of preferring toy cars to barbies in kindergarden, nobody would have guessed back then that I would ever go around the world on a motorcycle. Even my subjects at university did not make anyone suspicious: I studied art history, business administration and law and traveled in thoughts around the world with my master’s thesis “The monobloc. A universal plastic chair and its impact on local cultures “. After studying I devoted myself to architecture, design and fashion, worked for the publisher Condé Nast and built and developed the website and online platforms of the brand AD Architectural Digest. My articles were published in newspapers and magazines like FAZ or Glamour and I worked on digital concepts for companies such as BMW Group design and Ikea. I always enjoyed traveling but since I passed my motorcycle driver license only two years ago, I started to dream about doing a worldtrip on two wheels. And here we are, not trading my dresses and lipsticks for the bike – but taking them around the world on it. Read more about my decision and the right moment to do a RTW trip here.
